Right as we’re nearing Christmas I thought I’d post some music that has some thing to do with the festive season! Here is a band named Reindeer Section, formed by Gary Lightbody lead singer from Snow Patrol. They are pretty chilled out and easy listening.
So there we have it! Maybe we could carry on this festive theme?! Get posting :)
Joseph and David are a folk band that i saw in a tiny cafe in Cardiff, Wales. The singer has a lovely voice. I think he is David. If they come near you go and see them. Another £4 bargain.
Saw Caribou at the Thekla supported by Rocket number 9. They have a great new album out. i’ve been having a great time at live music events recently.

As there has yet to be any recognition for the reuniting of Train I thought i’d go ahead and post one of their songs from their latest album (2009) Save Me San Francisco.
Hey Soul Sister is probably their most known track however I like Breakfast in Bed (in reality and the song!)
Mt. Desolation- Departure.
So these guys are new…OR are they!!!
The band is actually made up from band members Tim and Jesse from Keane!! So its no wonder why I like them. The video to this is pretty cool to!
Though not on the E.P i thought i’d include a Sufjan track that is called ‘All Delighted People” to point at the new E.P of the Same name. Another stunning effort and folllowed almost immediately by a new Album; “The Age of ADZ”. He is touring extensively in North America. No dates in Europe yet but hopefully in the new year.
All the lonely people put their hands
In the personal crocheted afghan
Roll themselves in rows, they find a place
Where their hair cannot reveal their face
One of them has happened to have pains
One of them will know enough to ache
Here are the latest live act i saw in Brighton England. To all you Canadish i would recommend Brighton over almost any other city for the vibe, the sea and the scene. This band are from New York, they had a puncture on the way to the gig and ended up being really late and this meant i had to catch the last train back to my brothers house and the train turned out to be a bus because there were repairs being made on the track. Was it worth it? Hell yes! I was wearing a ridiculous grin through out their set. They were stunning and you should go and see them. One of the best drummers i’ve ever seen, especially for composition of rhythm. Enjoy
So people: October was a dry month for the Library. I suggest a little recuritment drive. Though to be honest i’ve forgotton how to admin on this but i think it’s easy enough to post.
